Guthrie Govan - Erotic Cakes
Guitarist Guthrie Govan’s “Erotic Cakes” is a scorcher pure and simple. Some of the tunes on this album are just flat out more metallic than FusionGroovin’s sound. But the five tracks I’ve added are perfectly within the vein of intense groove-driven fusion. Guthrie’s liner notes for each track, and on his gear “for the hardcore guitar contingent…”, are particularly notable and fun.
